TH350 Kickdown Cable Bracket

I think I have the wrong kickdown cable bracket for my application. As far as I know it is the stock bracket and installed on an Edelbrock performer intake. I noticed that there are two tabs to bolt to but only one place to bolt it on the intake. Is this the right bracket for my purpose.
The problem is my cable will not adjust to where the carb pulls it, the bracket needs to go back about an inch or more. Details: TH350, 350, edlebrock 600 CFM 1405, and performer intake Name: photo (7).jpg
