A new seat for my '80

When I bought my truck, a previous owner had installed bucket seats and a console

They were ok, but not what I really wanted. Not sure what they're out of either. There was a bridgework created to bolt the seats to the floor and the console was just sitting in place, held only by gravity. There is even new upholstery on the seats! Recently while "shopping" in my favorite boneyard, I spied a GMC new arrival. Not even inventoried yet. So I looked at it and saw it had a decent bench that had a small tear on the driver side bottom cushion, but good foam. Went in and asked about the seat and was told when it's logged in I would get a call. YESSSS, HE SCORES!!! $50 later and it's mine. I took it to a lady that upholsters cars/trucks/boats for a living, from her home, and two days later she calls and says it's done, come get it. So, this morning I did, and had it in by noon

Now, these need a new home

Later...

Lee

Its a shame you are so far away as I would love to have those for my old truck.Your new bench does look nice though.

I love the bench seat so much better than those buckets, even though those were nice looking. The bench looks more original to the truck.

I get mine back tonight from the upholstery guy, mines been gone a little over a month now. You got super lucky that the lady got it done so quick. And it looks superb!!!!! You did SCORE!

I don't get what the obsession is with bucket seats, I admit the suburban ones are nice, but the bench seat is pretty comfy when its all fixed up.
