Re: The "Frankenstine" build;
Hello;
![]() Well got the truck wired in,lites turn signals brakes just no charge system. When I do hook up the Alt to charge it works but not able to shut if off till I disconnect the charge wire. ? ? ? ![]() Useing a S10 wireing diagram. ?? Will reck the wireing again today,had to stop last evening as was getting upset with it. ![]() I did get the cooling n ps fluid in n drove it around the block a couple of times. The heater core did not leak so that was good, no ps leaks either, the radiator took like 3gal to fill up the system( bigger radiator then I thought). ![]() T-P Auto Tim ![]() |

oldman3; I did run into a lil problem; ![]() The fuel tank looks like it has some dirt in it; ![]() There is not a problem as I have to pull the tank to replace the sending unit anyway. ![]() That is what I have planned for today. ![]() Got the tank out from under the 78 just a few moments ago. NOW it is raining; ![]() Willl work in the shop on the truck tank in abit. Just hope that the sending unit is not to rusted up. ![]() T-P Auto Tim ![]() Pic to follow in next post; [ |

Re: The "Frankenstine" build;
Hello Everyone;
![]() Worked on the gas tank today. ![]() got the old sending unit out of the 78 chevy. (pic) ![]() For not having had gas in that for over 10yr the sending unit was really in good shape (pic) ![]() Removed the 4x4 tank out of the truck n replaced the sending unit from the 78 into the 4x4 tank. Had to cut off the end of the pick up tube to fit the 4x4 tank, just use a NEW elect fuel pump filter on the end of the pick up tube. (no pic) ![]() Checked to make sure that the fuel was picking up fuel n it is n running. ![]() Got the NEW tags on the rear (pic) Added a NEW tag to the front all so (#3) (pic) It have been raining here off n on all afternoon (love it) ![]() ![]() T-P Auto Tim; ![]() |
