With all due respect a real nice set of these are going to bring 300-500... these are REAL hard to find in any condition and command premium prices... When they do show up they do not last more than maybe a very few hours...

You may be better finding a set of painted caps and have them Chrome plated... that is what I am doing... I found a real nice set of them for 200 and it will cost about 150 to have them plated...

Re: looking for 67 p03 chromed hub caps

thought i might get that response. now i know! still if anyone has a rough set that would work for me. i'm not looking for a nice set for cheap, i'm looking for a cheap set for a fair price... or i may settle for a set of full wheel covers if anyone has a set of those.

Re: looking for 67 p03 chromed hub caps

Can't help with a full set but I do have one '67 chrome hubcap hanging on the wall. As mentioned, they are VERY HARD to come by in the chrome finish. Not show but VERY nice for it's age, two small splits on the rolled edge and minor nics, nothing severe, nice original paint. $45 plus ship, can get pics later if your interested.

Re: looking for 67 p03 chromed hub caps

well after some very extensive searching, and a lot of luck, i came across a poorly described ad for a full set of caps for 50 bucks, and a seller willing to ship them... they showed up at my door today! i'm really stoked.

BUT... i went to put them on the truck and realized i have a problem. they don't fit the wheels. i had ASSUMED i had the factory wheels on the truck (67 custom c10), but i guess not?!?!? i have three 3-nub wheels and one 4-nub. do i need the ones with the tabs? i'm clearly no expert on stock wheels and caps. on to the next search i guess...

Those fit wheels with clips, not nubs.
Those are the ones I'm looking for for my 3/4 ton

makes sense. it's amazing how hard these things are to find. hub caps of all things. who knew! i need to decide whether to find a set of clip wheels, go with a non-factory caps, or no caps at all.

Re: looking for 67 p03 chromed hub caps

so what's the story behind the ones in this thread?

http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s....php?p=5660830

were there two styles (clip and nub) in 67?

I found out the answer to this myself today. There iare two types, the nubs and clips. Appears to be denoted sometimes by 1/2 ton or 3/4 ton. The 1/2 ton used the nubs and the 3/4 (16" rims) the clips.

That isn't exactly accurate... Both the 10 and 20 series used both... My 67 C-20 Custom Camper had split rims with the nub Style... but a friend of mine had a 67-C-20 with steel wheels and clip type...

Re: looking for 67 p03 chromed hub caps

My 67 CST 1/2 ton had 15" rims (6 lug of coarse) with the clips. I can double check once it stops raining and I can get to my parts trucks/pile.
I have a set of 4 I am not using, they would need to be blasted and painted.
If I remember correctly, the reason I kept them is that all the clips were good.
3 of them are blue, other 1 is black with the paint peeling off.

Re: looking for 67 p03 chromed hub caps

So, the caps.68bowtie found are 3/4 ton? My 68 C-30 has the 17.5" rims too.in 8 lug, is that your are Cash?

I'd have to measure the distance between my clips to be sure, but I could be very interested in those chrome caps 68bowtie has making him a nice profit.

i have 2 of those painted. i was told they are indeed from 3/4 tons
i would think a set of rims with clips from 60-66 should work for these

Theres actually three sizes , left half ton nubs, middle half ton clips and right 3/4 and one ton.

Figures it had to get more complicated. Is there a way to identify them by size/measurement?

Sure , but its pretty easy to spot the difference in ring sizes , and if you have nub wheels theres only one.
