Windshield stainless .. Could it be better? I hope so.
I'm not really satisfied with my new stainless.. There are gaps that I don't think should be there.. Is this as good as it gets or am I being too picky?

It seems to me that oem does in fact fit tighter.

looks a lot like mine after I got it redone with OEM trim from 67-70 and precision gasket. The prior install used a non-precision gasket and 71-72 after market trim. It looked good from the outside and the trim laid flat but it leaked like hell when I drove it in the rain.

Look at the upper corners on the inside. Are they seated nicely and look correct?? My windshield rubber corners looked somewhat like yours and i had to go back after a new windshield was put in and pull on the corners to get them to lay flat against the body on the outside. Good luck Brian F.

I would hope the fit of pieces, even aftermarket, would be better than that. The gap is terrible..must be a better solution?

I carefully hit on it both the trim and gasket with a rubber mallet to get a better fit
carefully is the byword here

Judging by the photo I would think that it's not seated all the way down. You can see a faint line on the vertical trim that looks like it should come down another half inch or so. Then she should lay flat. Looks like a nice build! Good luck!
