Friday Night Score
When you're in your late 30's married with kids, this is considered a Friday night score.
Been looking for a decent visor locally for a while and picked this up for $200. Other than the old paint, it's nearly flawless, even all the screws look original. A lady had it left over from an estate sale and she wouldn't budge off the price, but I was ok with it. She threw in some chrome SBC valve covers which won't fit my center bolt heads but hey, they'll either look good hanging on the wall of my garage for the next 50 years or maybe I can get a few bucks out of them. Only problem is the passenger’s side mounting area. The door shuts tight against the jam and I need a little room for the visor mount and the screws that hold it on. I tried loosening the door hinge but the holes look round so I couldn't get it to pull out. I guess you need to file those holes oval? Guess I'll have to do a little research on how to adjust doors. Re: Friday Night Score
Maybe I'm not understanding but the door is hitting the screw heads when you close the door? You should be able to loosen the hinge bolts on the door pillar and pull the door out a bit. My drivers door appears to be in a little too far at the top but the body of the door is flush all way round. I'm going to tweak/bed the upper portion to pull it out to where it needs to be and leave the lower body portion where it's at. Weather stripping may be a cushion in that area. I'm not at that point yet.
I have the same visor and am not going to tweak the door or install the visor till I'm almost ready for paint.

Re: Friday Night Score
I've seen that link too. All great info. How does your door fit now? Is it flush and you happy with the gaps? If you pull the door out so that the top doesn't hit the screw heads, the lower part and the rest of the door may be off.

Re: Friday Night Score
The lower part does need to come in out a bit. The door gap on the drivers side is nice but the passengers side is poor. The slanted door pillar doesn't really have the same contour as the cab, I don't think it was ever right from the factory though I'm in no way building a show truck so it doesn't really matter.
