The 7 digit casting numbers are on the distributor side and below the line of the distributor mounting hole. They may be in-front-of, or to the rear of the fuel pump, depending on the year and c.i. The 261 will also carry with it captain's bars ( l l ) which will be cast back by the starter, usually between and above the CON number and the date code ( a letter followed by three or four numbers ). If you could just reply with the 7 digit casting number I can decode year and c.i. Thanks, Jeff
