Re: BedRugs, wish these were made for our trucks

I'm actually kicking around the idea of buying bulk marine carpet and glueing it down. I have a very nice 86 swb Silverado that has a tonneau cover. I only drive this truck on nice weather days and will probably never haul big dirty items in the bed.
Curious if this can be done or if anyone else has done this.

The other alternative is a spray in liner, but I REALLY LIKE the carpet option. But since no one makes a pre formed bed rug, my options are limited.

It would be about $150-$200 for the carpet itself. It comes in 8ft width, and I estimated about a 16-20ft length, and that was probably going with more carpet than needed.

They once made them . Part # is BRGK73SBK for short bed . They discontinued them . I called a while back because I heard they were going to start making them again . All I got was it is not in the near future right now . I think mostly there interest is in current production vehicles .

Maybe if enough call them they will decide the make them again .

Re: BedRugs, wish these were made for our trucks

I have one in my '13 and love it. I actually got mine used when I had my 2010. It's just starting to show it's age after being installed on it's 3rd truck. I love it. I go to tons of car shows every year taking photos for my facebook and Instagram page. Every time I see their booth or one of their dealers at a show, I beg them to bring them back for 73-87's. I've also called and emailed several times.

Maybe if more of us started bugging them, they'd pull their heads out of their a$$es and see they have a line of customers waiting to give them money.

I did talk to them today and told them the same thing. They said they no long have the tooling to make them. Once it was discontinued, they disposed of the tooling.
