New Project 77 GMC
Said I wouldn't start another project for a while, but it fell in my lap. Friend of mine bought it brand new, and I couldn't watch it rot. Been parked for 11 yrs. Hope to do a build thread.

Re: New Project 77 GMC
I've got one very similar, it's a stepside Sierra Grande. Bought it new.

Re: New Project 77 GMC
Good luck, all my rust is repairable and minimal for a 77, except the bed floor is in bad shape, hope I can find a used one. These trucks are getting scarce in the south east.

Re: New Project 77 GMC
Those fleetside bed floors are all welded together, you'll have to do some cutting and welding to patch it. Mine's in pretty good shape body wise, but the engine needs a rebuild.

Re: New Project 77 GMC
I have a bed from a 81 and 87. The beds are bolted together and have a spot weld next to the tailgate hinge on the bottom.

Re: New Project 77 GMC
If this is a project thread, it should be moved in the projects and builds section though. Don't want it to get lost!!

Re: New Project 77 GMC
This is not a project thread. I might start one later. Really don't know which way to go yet.

Re: New Project 77 GMC
I have looked at your build thread. Great truck. If you look at my fleet of squares, I am partial to long beds.
