Steel wheels? The Goose

Hey, I might change the wheels on the grey goose. Need some more sidewall for our rough roads. Need 6 bolt. Don't want to spend much, thinking 16" from a 73-87 Chev 4wd. I think they would clear the disc brakes? Anything I should know before I start my hunt? Anyone have pics of their truck laid out with small steels? If I find some would size tires up to be same overall height as what I have now and maybe add some Chrome center caps.

Re: Steel wheels? The Goose

I've not seen any factory 16" wheels used in the '73-'87 years, just 15's. The '72 and earlier C/K10's were available with 16" and 17.5" wheels but they were fairly narrow.

Re: Steel wheels? The Goose

I believe there were some 16" 6 bolt wheels used on some 4wd heavy half tons. I could be mistaken.
I don't really care where they come from, but I'm looking for something somewhat factory looking. Plain steel, than add a cap of some sort.
