Graduation Gift to the Extreme.

So after I had gotten out of school I went out of town for 2 weeks. I got back in town today and my parents had an elaborate setup to get me to come to the shop. Unbeknownst to me, while I was gone my mom and dad went out and bought another 68 shortbed fleetside from a friend who's husband had passed and couldn't complete the build. It's rough around the edges, needs some work but it's a pretty solid little truck. 350/350 with air ride. I know this thread is worthless without pics, I'm workin on that.

Congrats on the graduation! And the truck, that looks like a heck of a start.

Nice, that looks like it is ready to be driven as is! How are the mechanics?

It's drivable. There's some things that need buttoning up but that's expected. My dad drove it to the shop and said it's pretty good. It was in the air on the drive on when I got their so I didn't drive it but it's pretty good.

Nice truck. Is that an aftermarket tachometer in the dash?

Yes. I only got to walk around and under the truck so I didn't get to take as many pics as I should've. I'll look tomorrow and see specifically what it is.

Great looking truck. I wouldn't change anything with the style. Love the clean and tucked look.
