I read that article during my lunch break at work last night. I thought it was strange they only include the 76-80 Big 10, but cool they were mentioned regardless.

I think if you run the numbers, a 73-87 pickup is hands down the cheapest, easiest way to hot rod. They are easy to work on, parts are cheap, and there's thousands of them. Some of the super clean early ones are starting to get a little more expensive, but still not out outrageous.

I totally second that, so well said. I love my '74 and I love seeing the guys face at O'Reilly's when I say one starter please and he goes $35 dollars, THIRTY FIVE BUCKS!!! LOL

a friend of mine described them best when he said they are like the big Lego DUPLO blocks for toddlers they are an absolute pleasure to work on, everything is accessible, almost everything is metal (not plastic) everything is mechanical (not electronic) the Last Great American Truck!!!

The square body is the prefect older truck.You can run any engine you can dream of,The aftermarket is huge not much you can't do to one.
