camaro front clip

hey guys
my cousin has a 57 truck and wants to know what year camaro front clip will fit the truck, he has a 2000 v6 camaro but doesnt know if that will work or only the older cars suspension.

2000 won't come close to working. Those have struts.

The second generation 73 to 81 Camaro or Firebird subframes are the ones most guys use because they all come with disk brakes and the one piece spindle/caliper bracket. 71/72 are too hard to find and too desirable to take apart anyhow.

This Thread on the HAMB has been a go to subframe to TF truck thread since Lux Blue did it. He has a shop in Austin that turns out a lot of subframe swaps. Study it and have your cousin study it and go from there. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/t...ne-day.148978/

Note: Most know it but sometimes new guys don't the HAMB is a traditonal hotrod and custom car board that has specific rules an one of the main ones is no billet anything. We do tend to slap someone around a bit (I'm one of them) when a new guy starts blabbing about wanting to run billet anything. You don't have to join to read and study the thread though.
