BBC Crank Pulley in Steel like original - source?
The crank pulley fell off my 454 C20 for the second time. Two bolts worked loose and spun the crank off - cracked the pulley. I have tried an aluminum replacement when the first one broke, but the v belts would never stay tightened. I found a used OEM steel pulley, but now I need a second one.
Does anyone know of a source for a steel pulley? Should loctite be used on these bolts? If so, what kind? Also, any recommendation on replacements bolts? ( I only have one left.) Part number stamped on part is 3937787-AC. It is a 3 groove pulley - about 7 3/4" diamater and 2 3/4" bolt pattern. Thanks. |

The inner groove of the 3 is smaller in diameter right?
