OEM Wheel Question 79k20
As I have mentioned in previous posts,, I just purchased a nearly original 79 k20 from the local fire Company. I would like to return the truck to full stock. I am trying to determine which wheels and wheel trims the truck came with. The only information I have is this. (From the build sheet) The truck came with 10x16.5 tires and 1p06 bright metal wheel trims.
Any advice? |

Re: OEM Wheel Question 79k20
10.00 tires were factory mounted on 8.25 x 16.5" steel wheels. Your SPID is listing the optional P06 trim rings. Being a K20 it should have chromed hub caps (P03) as standard equipment.

Re: OEM Wheel Question 79k20
Can standard tires be put on this rim or does it make more sense to look for a 16inch steel rim?

Re: OEM Wheel Question 79k20
Look for the 16 inch - 16.5 is getting very hard to find and is obsolete. I am keeping an eye out for 16's to replace my 16.5's.
