Has anyone made this truck yet?

I'm a longbed guy, and I know quite a few others as well. Some of us have suggested, that the shortbed trucks should have been a bit longer. So has anyone created that truck? A longer shortbed, that isn't quite as long as the 8 foot beds?

Something along the lines of halfway between the shortbed that GM created, and the longbed. Has anyone shortened a longbed to be like that? If so, I'd like to see some pics of a single cab truck done up in such a fashion.

Re: Has anyone made this truck yet?

The aftermarket extended cab trucks had a mid size bed or looked like it to me.

Yeah I'm looking for pics of a truck where someone did a single cab with that bed, or a bed they shortened up a bit. But not all the way to shortbed size.

There MUST be somebody by now...

Re: Has anyone made this truck yet?

I have a 2006 F250 CCSB chassis I'm putting a '78 Square Crew Cab on. I'll be cutting the bed down 7" in the front and 4" off the overhang when I get back from Afghanistan. Not a single cab though.

Well I really can't say that I want it, I just want to see it. Having a discussion about it on another non-chevy forum.

doesn't seem like it makes any sense to so this and the cost of doing it would make it kinda ridiculous.

Re: Has anyone made this truck yet?

Years back when I bought my first small truck I got a ranger with the longbed which turned out to be a 7 ft bed.. in my mind its almost as useless as a6 ft bed wood comes at least 8 ft long so does sheetrock etc.. sometimes 10 ft any truck I use for work needs to be at least an 8 ft bed

Wouldn't cost any more than making a shortbed out of a longbed. In fact, if it's just off the tail it would be easier and cheaper, by a lot.
