64 C-10 radiator mounts
need some help, building my first truck from this era, and out of three trucks, I don't have anything that I know is the upper bracket for the radiator...have seen a few brackets in pictures, but no good pictures...I think it is a clamp that bolts in and covers the top tank of the radiator, but I need some good pictures, and/or some measurements....I am going back home this week, and looking forward to getting my 64 on the road...any help will be greatly appreciated!!! also, if anuone has a link on a vendor that sells it or has a page showing the proper name that would help too...thanks, Slim

Re: 64 C-10 radiator mounts
Mine was missing on my truck too. I just welded together one with strips of metal from a local hardware store. If you know how to weld, Just get your radiator in place, and take measurements and build your own. Don't forget to take into account the thickness of the rubber that goes between them and the radiator. I forgot to take that into account on the first attempt, and ended up having to build it all over again.
As far as I am aware no one reproduces them, so you'd either have to build your own, or find a used one.

Re: 64 C-10 radiator mounts
Are you running the smaller 6 cyl radiator or the larger radiator typical for V8's? Is it a 3 row core or a 4 row core? I believe I have all 3 if you would rather buy one, than spend your time fabricating one.

Re: 64 C-10 radiator mounts
How do you know if it is 6 cylinder or a V8 upper bracket? I have a bracket but I don't know.

Re: 64 C-10 radiator mounts
The 6cyl bracket runs straight across....the v8 bracket is pictured above in post 2.
Pic attached is the 6cyl bracket (borrowed from the classifieds)
