Had a 82 K25 with 6.2 & A833,sold it a month ago & it was a factory set up. Have a 85 K10 parts truck with 305 & A833 also factory drive train.Not sure how common they were but a nice tranny though.

I seen a guy selling one(K10) on CL, his ad said something about "side shifting". I guess the linkage is on the side?

1983 K20 w/ CUCV axles, 350/700R4/208 sitting on 37" Goodyears
1986 M1031 6.2 diesel, TH400/NP205 locker in the rear and a LS in the front, all stock for now.....
1986 K30, 350/400/205 dana 60 and 14 bolt. I kept the drivetrain. Body/bad and chassis are gone.
1981 K30, 350/465/205 dana 60 and dually 14 bolt. Has a G80, and a flat bed. Going to replace the flat bed.

1985 K20, 350/400/208 10 bolt and SF 14 bolt. I wonder where I can find some 1 tons. Hmmmmm

Would any of you put a833 in your 4x4? I heard its not very strong but is very nice shifting, plus the OD

It worked ok in the diesel,I had 35s on it & 6" lift as well.It was used as a work truck for about 3 years that I had it & stood up even in some pretty good mud & snow days.My linkage was wore a bit & would get stuck in second sometimes,nothing that a cresent wrench wouldn't fix though.The truck had 3.73s and that was a bit too tall with 35s, I swapped in a 4.10 & this helped quite a bit as first gear is quite high.

It's a nice cruiser trans. I wouldn't use it for four wheeling or work.

Thats all this truck has ever been is a work truck,guy that i got it from owned it since about 86 & thats all I used it for & stood up pretty good.
