gauge cluster fitment question

quick questions, will an 81-87 gauge cluster work on my 76 c10? any wiring issues? also my truck doesn't originally have the clock in the gauges but the cluster I'm looking at does. what do I need to know about that?

thanks

Re: gauge cluster fitment question

You'll have to re-pin the instrument panel connector to match the new panel.

You'll have to add a wire for the oil pressure gauge unless you have idiot lamps.

The clocks and tachs use a separate harness for each.

Re: gauge cluster fitment question

thank you for a very specific answer. I really appreciate it.

For me it's either up to an $800 Dakota digital or a $200 ebay cluster.

hm....decisions.

Re: gauge cluster fitment question

Does the Dakota digital panel include the ESS electronic speedometer sender?

Re: gauge cluster fitment question

Im looking at the VHX analog gauges. It says that it includes the 16k ppm sensor with the harness.
