Have any of you ran the good year 36" tires the military have on HUMVEES? I've got the 16.5 rims setting around and can get the tires realy, realy cheap. Any comments on these would be great!!

I had some 31s on my first '72, and they seemed pretty decent, in the mud... no match for TSLs, tho, IMO.

thats the first gen M/ts.. the biased ply.. the 37" M/Ts are radials.. i like the old style beadlocks better... the damn rubber donut is a PITA to get out..

It would be the R/Ts DaHate Tank. We had some on the Humvees when I was in the army. They seemed ok, but we were also a firefighting unit and didn't run around in the field that much. Just looking for opinions. Thanks!!

I bought four of them for my truck, but haven't got them on yet. They are M/T II, my brother is in the army and says they're nice on the humvees just wear a little different because of the suspensions on them, other than that, they are a nice tire to run.

Guys here at work have been running them on their Rams and like them really well. Theres a place near here selling them.

boyce equipment has them $75 a tire plus $25 shipping anywhere in the US. They are used 60-80% tread, per their web site.

what lift is needed on the 4x4's to use those tires i currently have no lift and bf goodrich 32's

These tires are 36x12.50x16.5 Good Year Wrangler MT II. I would go to a 6" lift with anything over a 35" tire, I've got 35's on my '72 Blazer and they rub a little when off road and at full flex.

You'll have to do some trimming for sure with a 4" lift and those tires. I'd go with 6" for the 36 inch tires, it would work much better and you would only need minimal trimming if any.

I had a set of Goodyear Wrangler RT's on a CJ5 back in 1975. Same basic tread design as the Humvee tires. At the time they were the best all around tire out there. Good on the street and good in the mud and good in snow. Broncos and Landcruisers had to chain up to keep up with that 304 powered CJ!

I picked up mine for $25 each. They have about 60% or better left. It was through a tire guy I know back home. I already had the rims given to me a few years ago and he mounted them for free. I don't know if he can get any more, seems like they only had about 6. I'll check into it when I get state side next week.

They are used 60-80% tread, per their web site. __________________ 1970 K25, 8' stepside bed 350/465/205 44 up front, 60 in the rear 4.10s rolling on 33" Dunlop MTs 1986 K5, 350/465/208 Dana 60/14 bolt from a cucv 36" Super Swampers TSL/SX 1983 K20 w/ CUCV axles, 350/700R4/208 sitting on 37" Goodyears 1986 M1031 6.2 diesel, TH400/NP205 locker in the rear and a LS in the front, all stock for now..... 1986 K30, 350/400/205 dana 60 and 14 bolt. I kept the drivetrain. Body/bad and chassis are gone. 1981 K30, 350/465/205 dana 60 and dually 14 bolt. Has a G80, and a flat bed. Going to replace the flat bed. 1985 K20, 350/400/208 10 bolt and SF 14 bolt. I wonder where I can find some 1 tons. Hmmmmm
