Let's talk window tint!
Didn't realize I'd clicked on the Suburban forum when I came across the following thread: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=669715
Apparently there was an "OEM" tint. Mentioned in the thread, the OEM tint was green apparently. The SPID in my truck says it came with tint, but as long as I can remember, it never had it. Living in the desert, I'd like to keep the sun's heat at bay, and reduce further UV fading. Which windows were tinted, what levels, and what color? Regards, Mike

Re: Let's talk window tint!
yup some models had a greenish tint to them from the factory. theres some glass that pops up occasionally for sale here on the parts forum. vents, doors and the back glass came in green tint.

If your windows are factory tinted the words "Soft Ray" will be etched into the glass. It's a pretty light tint. LockDoc

i'd suggest you just take it to your local tint place and get a pretty dark tit for yourself and b done with it but not too dark to get a ticket

Re: Let's talk window tint!
Here is a shot of my 72 Sub in 83 with all the windows open. Its interesting in that it shows no glass openings, single and doubled tint all together.
To keep a stock look I'd suggest adding a premium clear UV tint to your existing Soft Ray glass.
