RPO X45 factory topper ?

Looking at a factory build sheet on a 1977 Chevrolet truck that is listed for sale...one of the options listed is a factory box cover RPO X45 ....anyone else have this RPO...I could not find it listed in my parts book.

Re: RPO X45 factory topper ?

I've never heard of it before.

It doesn't appear in the generic info for '77 in the GM Heritage Center archive, that I can find:

https://www.gmheritagecenter.com/doc...olet-Truck.pdf

It does not appear in any of my internal RPO listings.

I've never seen one in any GM assembly plant.

So - I don't know what you've found there.

Re: RPO X45 factory topper ?

do you have a picture of this topper?
is it a canopy, or some kind of tonneau cover?

It says sliding front window on the sticker, so it must be a topper of some kind...never heard of this either.

The 1976 Chevrolet Truck Accessories Catalog shows a tonneau cover. It was available in either black or white for Chevy fleetside or El Camino pickups.

Re: RPO X45 factory topper ?

The rear windows do look like they are Blazer. It would look good as a short bed topper
