is a 1970 rolling chassis worth anything?

I have a rolling chassis from a 1970 3/4 ton that I took the body off of and can't find a buyer for it...should I just scrap it?

3/4 ton, 8 lugs, no disk brakes ... I'm assuming 2 wheel drive. No real value round here. I would think it might be a problem for the states that are stinky bout requiring all the numbers be matching for title purposes.

advertise the wheels and rear axle with a free frame that goes with them ! Then it will sell .or call your local 4x4 club / dealer and offer them up .

that's another interesting twist...it has really nice chrome wheels and the tires are like new...but they are 15" 8 bolt and I guess they do not fit over disc brakes.......man, I hate throwing things away

they tend to sell a bit slow, but you would get around $200 for the rolling chassis in my area. the trailing arms tend to be the biggest attraction, so if it's leaf springs that may be tougher...

My buddy Mario has the same thing in his back yard (3 years) 69 3/4 ton, 8 lug, long step-side, no engine or trans. Interest in our local hot-rod community ZERO, Ad responses ZERO

If you guys lived closer I'd haul 'em off for you. Dana 60 or HO52? What gears? Traction device?

I'd think there would be some worth if advertised right.

There is a market for it. Most of the COE builders need frames like your for their project. Try advertising it on the COE Facebook page. I paid $450 for a rolling '87 R20 chassis for my 1938 Ford COE.

Re: is a 1970 rolling chassis worth anything?

My 68 GMC has the 15 inch 8 lug chrome spoke wheels and I popped on some factory type hub caps off a half ton and man did it make a difference in the way it looks sitting out back. I really would like to work on it but it isn't even on the list right now
