front shock mounts

I cut a coil on my 65 lb and it went down perfectly to match my 5" rears.
I relocated the rear shock mounts with 2" square tubing (as per a thread found here). Yea!
Now I'm sitting here looking at the original stock rear mounts and I think I've found my solution for the front!!
Anybody else ever used them in the front?
Looks like I can raise the mount as well as move it out, making a much better angle.
