Pretty nice truck for a very reasonable price.

Is it true that those med-duty trucks with the 292's are fine unloaded, but are sorta dogs when their loaded down?

A lot of truck for the money ....those southern desert trucks are amazing to work on .....like going back 40 years ...just loosen a bolt and you can unscrew it by hand.

Not many C40's left in this shape.

My 292 in my '64 C-30 ran great loaded. Had plenty of torque. I would be grossing a full 10,000 lbs, maybe even a little more. One day I passed a 350 going uphill fully loaded, lol.

It was pure stock, but had a Shaved Head (was told it was warped when I sent it out for Valve work), was Super-tuned, and had a straight-thru Muffler.

I wouldn't mind one at all in a C-40.
