need help. no crank

hello guys. need help with my 79 c10. changed transmission and ignition lock cylinder while trans was in shop. now i have no voltage to the small wire to the starter while in start position. key turns to crank position just fine so i dont think it is anything to do with the new key cylinder. did my ignition switch just decide to go out?

Re: need help. no crank

The start circuit begins at the ignition switch (above the column under the dash), the it goes through the neutral safety switch (location depends on transmission) then it goes out to the starter. I think the wire is usually purple.

So you could probe at the neutral switch to see if it is interrupting the juice there. It'll also tell you if the ignition switch is still working or not.

Re: need help. no crank

Since you just replaced a trans I'll bet your linkage is not adjusted right so the neutral safety is not lined up correctly.
