They do, they actually operate just as they do in the 2007 to present GM SUV's (Tahoe, Suburban, Yukon, Escalade), where they fold flat, and are easily removable.

Finally got the steering wheel installed, and man oh man, what a pain the horn turned out to be. Such a simple install but without the right info (finally found it on this forum!) it was brutal. Once I had the correct order of install of all the parts, it took minutes! Also, finished up some loose ends, like getting the heater wired up, another find on this forum was the wiring schematic. Loved that I'm working on a 41 year old truck, looking at a hand drawn wiring schematic on an iPad! Did a Costco run with the boys, had to share some family shots, check out the awesome T-shirt on Monkey boy, anybody remember that show??

3 inch body lift and 4 inch suspension. When I first got the truck, I was certain I was going to drop the body lift. Now that it's complete, I actually like the height, although it does require me to bring a HomeD bucket when the wife wants to ride in it.

Nice way to excite the boys, truck looks great! Dont know what a brody is, but if it is what i think it is, these things are top heavy.....

Had a guy on here with a beautiful black one, fooled around in the parking lot, put it on its lid, gas pouring out....and that was the last we saw of him

You are correct, brody is basically spinning/drifting in circles, something that would obviously not be a good idea in this truck, or with 3 small boys in a Catholic School parking lot..... ;-)

I can't actually say for sure, never put the top back on after bringing it home last summer. I actually just sold it! I can tell you though, that line of sight is a little impacted, not so much for driving, but I find that street lights are exactly where the pillar is, so I either duck under or gopher over. It's a small price to pay to have that kind of leg room! Here are a few shots for you, nothing too complicated really, you just bolt them down where ever they land. Best to put in some reinforcements under to prevent the entire seat from tearing through the sheet metal. As for seat belts, I just ordered the aftermarket airplane type lap belts and put them in with the rear bolts. Some would argue its best to have their own anchor point. One other thing if I had to do it over again, and I've seen some good setups with these seats on this forum, is the back bracket has to bend a little to get the bolts to sit down nice and snug, and this makes the lift and fold mechanism stick, which is a must have for these seats with the top on. (the ability to fold the seat out of the way to get to the back) Just something to think through, you would need to fabricate something to prevent that bend, either by lifting the angle by spacers in the front, or an entire mounting plate in between the seat and the floor.

I sold the top for a couple reasons. It needed restoration, it was double wall and I didn't have a good method to install by myself (garage isn't high enough for hoist system) and not the best set up for driving on rain slick roads. I've been thinking about a softtopper but keep talking myself out of it. Knock on wood, our weather has been unbelievable for like a month, and it typically July and August are our best months. Said another way, she pretty much stays parked for 9 months of the year, but brings that much more appreciation when I do get to drive it daily!

Man, I just returned from a beautiful trip through Seattle and the San Juan Islands, it's one of my favorite areas in the world. Hopefully you're still soaking up some of that sweet weather. It's been a relatively mild summer, but has finally gotten super hot in Austin & my K5 needs an AC charge in a bad way. Yikes... Really though, the synergy between Seattle and Austin is obvious. Keep rocking...

Well I finally got around to removing the body lift, dropped it 3 inches. I've got to say it makes a huge difference, as others on this thread have called out, the gap in the bumper looked terrible, and the lift was just too much IMO, although I think most (my wife included) would go "I don't notice any difference". I also replaced the gas tank, sending unit and did a major tune up, ready for Summer!
