86 k20 wheels
So I finally got new wheels well new to me at least. They were my buddy's there the typical 8 hole wheel. The thing is he didn't care for his truck like I do and there aluminum non clear coat wheels with quite a bit of oxidation what's the best way to get them looking back to a mirror finish?

Re: 86 k20 wheels
If you want them to shine like chrome its going to take wet sanding and buffing.

Re: 86 k20 wheels
I have been messing around with different ways to try and speed up the proses of polishing aluminum wheels and other items. I have started off using scotch brite pads first(dark red). Then jump to wet sanding. You can be a bit more aggressive with the scotch brites use at once, over working your way up with wet/dry sand paper.
Side note Its very easy to convert a standard bench grinder into a buffing wheel. Tear it down remove the shaft and have somebody or do it yourself. Make a longer shaft so you can buff wheels. I did mine for under 20 bucks.
