Need advice
I have a 72 Suburban 3/4 ton that I purchase from Northern Cali. I think it was used as a snow plow truck. Its has a lot of rust. It is even rusting around the support areas where it meets the frame, causing it to sink a little. My question is whether it is cheaper to find a clean tub or to have the rust repaired? I think I know the answer already, I hear that body work can be extremely expensive. I don't want a show truck, just a nice beach truck. My main concern is the support areas underneath. I have a opportunity to purchase a clean straight Burb for about 1K but then I have to calculate the cost of transplanting the body. I do not have my own shop so I would have to pay someone to do all the work in either situation. What would you do?

Re: Need advice
I would buy the other burb and find a way to do most of the work myself. If that really is not an option, get ready to shell out some real money!!

Re: Need advice
It is cheapest in the long run to buy a nice one done the way you want, especially if you don't do your own work.

Re: Need advice
I think your right, may have to let this one go and try finding a clean one.
