63 Hubs
Will 63 hubs fit the 62 spindles in order to use the newer style wheel bearing.

I know that the 67 hubs will work. If the wheel bearings for the 63 and 67 are the same then you should be ok.

Thank you sir. If the newer hubs will work on the 62 spindles, I want to find a newer set, have them drilled for 5 lug and be able to use the newer roller bearing instead of older ball bearing. Keeping the torsion bar suspension, so don't want to do any other swaps. Were all the trucks 6 lug until 73?

The front hubs from '63-'70 C10 interchange and are all 6 lug, The 5 lug started in '71 along with disc brakes.

So new guy here with a question. I just bought a 63 6 lug with disk in the front. I want to switch it to 5 lug. Could I just put on 71 rotors on my spindles? Or is it more involved?

Yes, assuming that you have '71-'72 or '73-'87 style spindles, but you do not have to use '71 rotors. The '71-'87 rotors all interchange. You will want the 1.25" thick rotors.

When I bought the truck the guy said they were 2" drop spindles. Is there a way I can tell by looking at them? Thanks for the reply too!

When looking at the back side of the spindles, the spindle pin on dropped spindles will be close to center between the upper and lower ball joints. A stock spindle will have the spindle pin obviously closer to the lower ball joint.

Oh I meant how can I tell the difference between the 63 spindles and the 71+ style. Is it just by the thickness of the rotors? Thanks for the replies by the way!
