Re: No Clutch

I had that part (#3 in the picture) split in half on my one day while driving. It caused exactly the same thing your talking about. It looks like that's what you're missing in the picture.

Life got in the way for a couple days...

Question about this (and all who mentioned #3 missing).

I know it needs to be on there, but is seems to me that it is on the backside of the fork and would not affect the disengagement (pushing the pedal) of the clutch. Looks like it would mainly keep the fork from popping off the rod if you popped the clutch. What am I not understanding here? Same with #7 (the clip). The big brown truck is supposed to bring them tomorrow

I have ordered the bell crank seats, spring, spacer, and washer to see if that will help me tighten up tolerances.

Re: No Clutch

You are wrong about piece #3. It is not on the backside of the fork. It goes on the end of the push rod and it is the part that pushes the fork. The way you hav it now, you will end up pushing the push rod through the hole in the fork in no time.

It is not a nut that holds the push rod from falling off, it is pivot point that pushes the fork.

Re: No Clutch

If # 3 is there you should gain 3/4 to 1 inch more adjustment.

There should also be a spring that hooks to the end of the clutch fork and goes forward to the frame that holds the clutch linkage together.... It looks like this.

Re: No Clutch

Here is mine. You can see the other end of the return spring in this picture. And the ever important part #3.

Re: No Clutch

I think i have a clutch again! I do not have #3 yet, if is one of the items the big brown truck is supposed to deliver tomorrow - but I stacked washers on the rod to mimic the thickness of the nut (pivot point) and my clutch disengages

I am aways amazed at the amount of stuff I don't know! Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. Will update once I get the proper part installed. I love this board!
