292 power steering

I am putting power steering into my 66, I am converting the front end to a 79 chev 1/2 ton 5 bolt disk. Truck currently has no power steering so I got the power steering box off a 79. I have a power steering pump and brackets from a 250 inline, I also have the cpp power steering box mount kit, how have people made this setup work for a 292. Pics would be very helpful or a drawing if you made a custom bracket.

Re: 292 power steering

Jim Carter truck parts had a bracket kit they sell for 63-72 trucks. $259 for it.

Re: 292 power steering

I'm sure if you keep an eye on Ebay or even for a parts truck you'll find a set. My 84 C30 has a 292 with power assist. Looks like a late 70's early 80's engine as I'm sure its not original. Course I never did run the vin or engine numbers. But 6 cylinder parts like this will be expensive because the demand for them is little to none.
