Square Round Oval port heads
The heads on my small block have a decidedly square looking exhaust port to me. But then it seems most (after market at least) heads are this way.
So do we use oval shaped headers? D port headers? Round port headers? A special flange gasket?

Re: Square Round Oval port heads
My $.02 get the hedders of choice, gasket to match. place gasket scribe visible metal on cyl. head. proceed to grind w/die grinder( while you're there clean up an inch back towards the valve make sure to keep metal away from valve seats). Small parts on cyl.head smaller than the bore on the hedder will just be anti reversion. When gasket matching you should be able to determine if there is not enough gasket sealing surface. I have never encountered such, but never say never.

Thanks. I'll give that a shot.
