hello from oklahoma
My name is Steven and I inherited my 1972 c10 long bed from my dad that passed away back in 2006 from cancer. its in pretty rough shape right now I'm in the process of fixing it up. I have lots of plans for it. So here are some pictures.
my plan for now if i want to bag it weld up the holes and primer it and make it ride nice and in a couple of years ill drop a new motor and tranny in it, and short bed conversion along with a new paint job with the top of the roof have a dedication to my father. i daily drive a 2007 Honda civic si its nothing special but i like all cars. here is a picture. looking forward to all this forum has to offer. Re: hello from oklahoma
Looks like the Honda would fit in the bed of the pickup.
Welcome from a fellow Okie.

Re: hello from oklahoma
yea its in decent shape but when im done it wont be hardly the same truck. im thinking a nice yellow with white top. and a memorial airbrush art on the roof in dedication to my dad. a boosted ls3 mated to a beefed up 4l60e with a short bed conversion with wood.

Thanks hopefully within the next couple months ill get it looking and riding alot better. Simple stuff for now big stuff later. If im not mistaken my brother has cammed this 350 with small/mild cams and a bigger carb and I put some autoparts headers on it and dumped exhaust it runs alright for how old it is. |

Re: hello from oklahoma
So its been a while since I posted on here.
I got into a wreck in my Honda so I bought all JDM front and rear conversion and as i was almost done with the rear (I did the front first) then the car started smoking bad so I started pulling the engine and went and bought a K24 (its bigger than my the one that came in it K20) and I'm in the process of doing the swap I have a whole bunch of stuff like bigger cams and new valves and better header and other stuff. As for the 72 I was driving it and it started making a weird noise so I parked it I think its something to do with the drive shaft or the rear end but I'm gonna have my brother look at it rear soon so I can start driving it while my car is under construction, then all my attetion is going into the ol' 72 |

Re: hello from oklahoma
So crazy past 6 months, lots happened.
Firstly my son was born February 10th, and he is amazing. My car broke started to smoke so I bought a little bit bigger motor to put into my car added cams and upgraded valve springs and all that and upgraded oil pump now I'm just working out the kinks. Anyway taxes are coming and I have a bunch of leftover parts from my car that I'll be selling soon so I'm hoping 1500+ gets to be put into the 72. Right now I'm looking into bagging the truck just need to gather some information and start putting money towards it. |

Re: hello from oklahoma
I had pretty good luck at Rockauto.com when I rebuilt my front suspension. They carry Moog brand.
