83 Bed modifciation for 1964 short bed

Would it be hard to use an 83 stepside bed on a 64 short bed frame by replacing the 83 fenders and step with 64 fenders and step?

Thanks!

The definition of 'hard' will depend on your skill level. What may be hard for one individual might be a piece of cake for another. With that said, it should be doable but I would imaging there will be some cutting and welding necessary.

If you keep the 83 fenders, it is easy, however to go with the original fenders there is a lot of work to make up the differences. This is what I did for my old 70 and you would be doing the same thing to get the 64 fenders & steps to work on the 83 bed.
