Lucky Man - colour me green.
I'm actually looking forward to building one myself - either this summer or next. Gonna go with 26'x28', 9' ceiling, stand-up attic and heated concrete slab. What's the details for your's. I'd like as many cool ideas as I can get. |

Garage
I've waited quite a while for it!!!!!
We decided on a 30 x 40 gambrel roof loft style.......with 10 foot porch/lean-tos on each side. The big selling point is my kids can use it as an apartment when they go to college (that really helped sell the wife on it!!!) I'm planning on doing the concrete, electric, gas, and septic lines now, while I "think" I can afford it!!!! I also need for it to warm up a bit!!!!! Misled |

My dad did the excavation with my cousins Bobcat, which had no laser level, lol. We ended up paying someone to set the block for the walls, but we are setting the trusses and doing everything else including the lift installation and trolley system.

Sounds great. One thing is for sure. You may regret a lot of things in your life, but you will never, ever regret getting a shop/garage. I built mine back in 98, I am a Carpenter, and don't see how I ever lived without it. I could not function now if I didn't have one. No kidding either. I would be lost for sure.
Having to talk the wife into stuff like this is a task sometimes. I did mine. I told her I'm going to build a shop. Never asked, just started doing it. She was ticked for a while, but she got over it.

I just need to find the land and the funds to pay for it all and I'll be set.
Right now the driveway and shed in back are my garage
