Dana 60(s) available
I just got a Dana 60 front axle from a guy 3 miles south of Knotts Berry Farm in S. cal. Great price plus guarantee. He is getting rid of everything in his yard which includes approximately 20 mid 70's and 80's trucks. He has more Dana 60's (SRW and DRW) versions. If you want his number, PM me.

Re: Dana 60(s) available
But the one everyone wants is 2 years only, 78 and 79. Compare to starting 85-ish to early 90s. Local yard here has prolly a dozen of the later ones.

Re: Dana 60(s) available
Well if you're of the rock crawler breed then a Ford is tempting. Plus these guys usually do a lot of fabrication anyway so the extra work for an inexpensive high pinion is worth it, as long as you are doing a drive line buildup. But you have to fab... Driver side diff with high pinion/reverse-cut.
The 1 ton axle sets off the CUCVs go like hot cakes because they are truly a straight bolt in. For guys like me it's worth spending a few extra bucks for that. Remember, the 1ton corp14 is a straight bolt in on the 3/4 ton 70 k20 I own(perches are where they need to be). The only thing I had to do was shock tabs... and I ground them to fit and drove to welding shop for attachment. So when your weighing your options there's things to consider, which is probably why the market can bear the prices. All things equal! I will tell for purpose of this thread that I paid $2500 + $220 freight = $2,720 last year for boyce take outs. I've done nothing to them, all the brakes pads were in great shape with plenty of meat. I would have liked cheaper, but a year later... I am very happy. And the 3 grand is now just a drop in the bucket, compared to what I've put into the ol money sump in the past three years. Onward and upward!
