Has anybody here ever done the power tour? Just part or the whole thing. I think me and my dad may go this year since it is leaving from right down the street. We will at least do the first leg to tulsa. If you have been can you give me your input? Was it worth it? Did you go in a big pack or get sepperated from everybody else? Anything you might want to share.

Check out some of the threads on Pro-touring.com I know a few of those guys went. I want to as soon as or I should say someday when I get my project done.

I've done partial legs of the tour 2 different years. Would I recommend it??

Do bears sh!t in the woods? If your a gear head it's pure heaven....

Words of advice : Verify all hotel reservations (confirmation #'s) in advance personally . It's a real pain in the a** to deal w/hotels that don't have your info. The groups leave out of each stop & don't wait around. If you have to drive slower.... leave earlier so you get passed by them & get to see everyone going down the road (otherwise your playing catchup & miss alot). Bring 2 different credit cards for gas & stuff (it sucks when some stupid machine/gas pump won't accept your only card w/o reason). Bring lots of film,batteries, & t-shirts (you won't be doing much laundry & it sucks toting around a bunch of personal gear). Have fun! I know I'm going to try & go the full tour this year.... I just have to find someone to make the trip with (or get a fresh motor/trans in my 74).

I have never done but sure would like to once the 72 is done... Got a long way's to go yet, but hard work is really payin off.
