Re: new bagged 79 swb project
that's pretty much how it looks today, really haven't had a whole lot of time to work on it, but I try to get a little done every week.

Re: new bagged 79 swb project
Hot damn I'm loving this build. I have too many questions but don't want to flood your thread with them. So much for keeping the stock ac box. What are you going with for ac???

Re: new bagged 79 swb project
Have you built any crew cab 67-72's lately? Or did you ever see the ones you built after the trucks were finished? Sorry for hi-jacking your thread.

Re: new bagged 79 swb project
Apparently i havent updated this thread for a while... but i do manage some progress when time allows.
First up is the interior project... i have 99ish tahoe seat and the matching console looked stupid... too narrow for the cab. I installed one of the full size 05ish consoles in another truck a few months earlier and really like how them... they do require a ton of extra work.... dash cutting, blending in the dash shapes to work with the console angle... which i had planned on glassing the pad and leather wrapping anyway.... so nothing a little foam and body work couldnt handle. And among other things... i finished up the air plumbing and took it for a test drive around the block... |

Re: new bagged 79 swb project
All the interior parts assembled.... obviously far from finished but good enough to drive it. Went through a whole lot of trial and error trying to find the best led's for the dash... always had dark spots. I decided to use strip led and lined the entire inside of the cluster... no more dark spots. Very happy with the turn out Stripped the black paint off the grill trim and put it all back together... ended up ordering a new repo grill without the giant bowtie... like the clean look much better. You can get a glimpse of my custom front drive set up... fitting a york edc, sanden a/c, power steering, alt in the available space and running vbelts was quite the challenge I have been driving it all week... very pleased with everything. Rides great.... drives awesome. 100+ shakedown miles and i have a short list of bugs to work out before i start on the cosmetic side of the project |

Re: new bagged 79 swb project
I have a thing for red firewalls. Don't know why but I love them.
