tips on replacing / fixing these rusted mounts

Had my 1979 k10 at the coast for a couple years wann fix these few spots were the rust got bad any tips on were to get these and how to put new ones on.

They're available aftermarket along w/ the inner/outer rockers and floor bits. Google something like 73-87 cab support. Pick the best price/tax/shipping option.
Of course you need some tools to install the parts.

You've got a decent job ahead of you to replace that...... It is spot welded to the main floor so you'll have to drill those out and pull the old part then fit and weld in the new one........ probably will need to do the inner rocker too if not the outer as well. It's not too bad of a job but not for the beginner really. the parts themselves are quite inexpensive even more the good stuff. Good luck and post picks of the progress and completion.

Thanks for the info. My dad redid the truck when he was my age now im doing it i will post before after and in progress pics and probably more questions.

You should check your local yards for 88-91 Suburban and K5 cab floor support splash shields. Pickups don't come with them but I install them to keep road debris and junk away from the floor braces. You simply need to drill a few holes and they will mount up like factory.
