What is this???

Here is a pic of a "67" jack on ebay. What is that red box? Looks like it has reflectors in it. My real question is, is it original?? Never seen one before.

That's the emergency reflectors and container that big rig trucks carried before the triangle reflectors came out. Put them out when your truck broke down along the hiway.

Probably either came out of a C/40 & up, or the light was a dealer add on type deal.

My vote say's that it is an original item.
I saw a box like that on a 1971 c 30 133 in w/b dually 1 ton that had an overhead camper installed, it was purchased new without a bed. Just cab and chassis
The box was mounted under the hood near where the voltage regulator is mounted on the core support. There was also some collapsible wheel chocks along with it.
This was the only one I had seen (until now) and thought that it was added by the owner.
It looked exactly like the one in the picture
