Isn't that true! But... Yours in NOT molested. And it doesn't sound like any changes you'd make would be true molestation. I like that you're thinking "reversible" mods. I like the suggestion above to go with a more recent auto OD trans. The 3OTT can be fun from a nostalgic point of view, but it can become a little cumbersome and clunky for more convenient everyday driving. I'd choose a 200-4r, personally. I like the ratios better than the 700r4 and with even a healthy six it'll last a long, long time. That's a reversible mod to me. Heck, I wouldn't even lower that thing, as the stance really speaks to its original period. Gotta admit, though, that a mild drop with lowering coils is pretty darned reversible. Then... Drive the heck out of that thing!
