Drag Link Position

I need to know on a 72 K5 blazer.Is the Drag Link suppose to be parallel to the ground ,or Up at pitman arm ,and slope down to steering arm like mine.

I am fairly sure that it should be level, that is why you see drop pitman arms on lifted trucks. If not level you may get bump steer.
