I agree.
Swapping in a wider 71-72 rearend would solve ALL the issues.

Re: Coys Wheels Fitment Problem

I'd have the center bore of the axle milled down a little to fit. Prob wouldn't take much at all.

5.5" BS will actually set your wheels further back into the wheel well (tucked under the truck more)

I'd mill the axle and maybe run 3/8 spacers and drive it..

Re: Coys Wheels Fitment Problem

I think the full swap would be a good long term solution, especially if I could find a posi. Just don't find them lying around too often.

Okay, any spacers in particular? So 3/8 on each side = 3/4.. will that be enough? Actually I think the 3/8 spacers will solve the center hub problem too as it would be enough to keep it from bottoming out on the center of the hub.

Just let me know where I can pick up my "Get Er Done" sticker. I think it would go good with a set of Texas plates too. Were no stranger to the glass pack or the lift kit. I have one that is lifted and one this is lowered... I might be a redneck... Nah :-)

Re: Coys Wheels Fitment Problem

Toxic Orange, did you ever get this figured out?

I'm going through the motions right now trying to figure out how to get my rears to not only sit flush past the 3.5" center hub section, but also that 1/4" space also allows the drum to slop around!

I'm going through the EXACT Same issue!!
