Expedition Blazers/Jimmys ?
Any expeditioners (not exhibitionists ! ) here ? post up pics of early Blazers/Jimmys converted or adapted for wilderness exploring if ya got em.
Was reading up on rooftop tents, trailer tents, propane/DC fridges etc and got me ta thinkin. I suppose front and rear rollbars or cages would make things easier for gear hauling. I see an occasional thread over on the burb board but not much relating to early Blazers/Jimmys conversions/adaptions. Seems the surplus military 1 ton trailers are popular for outfitting & hauling gear. |

Re: Expedition Blazers/Jimmys ?
Sweet ride! My 72' is just a normal old 4x4 but I always loved the Chalets of the late 70's!! I saw one 5 or 6 years back and struggled not to buy it. It was in sad shape though.

I'll have to move the marker for #5 to Nebraska as that particular ebay listing from only two months ago is the same rig put out on ebay just today for double the price by its new owner.

I like the idea. I think the Blazers removable hard top makes setup a little more difficult.
