Question Door mirrors?

Anyone know where to find these or who makes them?

Kind like how small they are and they appear to attach over the door edge.

Or for that matter, any other suggestions for simple nice looking non-stock mirrors? thx!

Re: Door mirrors?

LMC truck parts has them. I have a set of them, I like them , but have had trouble with them coming loose. Latest fix is locktite on all screws. When I remove my truck cover, I tend to pull on them and that loosens up the mirrors.

Re: Door mirrors?

Outside mirrors, yes I remember looking and looking. I started out with the peep mirrors but didn't do it for me.

The original holes had been welded before I got the truck so I didn't go with original.

I settled somewhere in between.

Not as small as the peep mirrors but not as large as the originals. I like how the mirror arms has a continuous curve similar to a swan neck, just as the flow of the cab is curved.

Speedway is where I found them. http://www.speedwaymotors.com/Swan-N...rror,2262.html

Re: Door mirrors?

I am going with stock swan neck with 5" round mirror. Will need the larger size because I plan on towing a travel trailer. I looked at Porsche 944 and late model Corvette mirrors but the euro look did not match the stock 50's look I was going for.

Re: Door mirrors?

I think I have a few of those peep mirrors in my boxes of junk in one of the sheds If I didn't pack them off to a swap meet to be able to drive someone else nuts.

The reasons I and probably the majority of guys don't like them is that they tend to get loose plus by design they chip the paint under where you clamp them on. Add to that they are usually more "legal outside mirror" than "can see good to the rear" as far as mirrors go.

You shouldn't have any trouble finding "peep" mirrors on Ebay or some of the chrome trinket suppliers. Here, click on this link and then scroll down to peep mirrors on the list on the right side. http://kustomcarparts.com/ Good folks who have been around a long time under the name of Night Prowlers before someone stole their name and they changed names.

Re: Door mirrors?

Just ordered some stock mirrors from Classic Industries before I saw this, you got me thinking have I done the right thing now, kind of warming to the sleeker look of those.

If its any consolation Ive found a voucher code for C.I. and saved meself 15%

If anyone needs the code its C685G

I could always sell the stock and change, maybe I'll see how they look against the door before I drill it (stock holes long gone!)

Re: Door mirrors?

If you like body color instead of chrome and curves that are complementary to the body. These worked for me.

Re: Door mirrors?

OE Peep mirrors used with bedside spare bolt through the door at the top. It's hard to see anything with them.

I've tried both flat and convex mirrors on the peep. I'm currently using flat glass but neither solution is best.

I'd think the Cutlass mirrors would be too close to the doors. I'd look for a longer "neck" similar to what speedbumpauto is using.
