Parts Stolen While Deployed

Two weeks ago I returned from deployment to find my 1970 Blazer and over $5K worth of brand new parts I had accumulated from GMC Pauls and Summit had been stolen. It had been in storage in the Bonne Terre / Bismarck, Missouri area. Police were able to locate the K5 for me but she was completely stripped. I'm turning to these awesome forums for help. Amongst the stolen parts were two brand new L & R front fenders and inner fender wells that I had coated in Line-X Ultra by an authorized dealer. If anyone happens to live in this area and notices someone just acquired Line-X'ed inner fender wells and new fenders (still in the box from GMC Pauls) can you do me a favor and send me a PM please! I paid for these parts and the K5 with money I saved up on my first deployment on the USS Nimitz so it feels like an even bigger punch to the gut than usual. Thank you.

Re: Parts Stolen While Deployed

Scum bags. I had lumber stolen after a house fire right of my yard once. $900 worth of wood. Nothing like being Homeless and still having the dirt bags come and take something to rebuild your home. Hope they find them and lock them up.

Re: Parts Stolen While Deployed

I went ahead and reordered the same parts from GMCPAULS. I've been waiting for years to see this thing painted Fathom Green with everything else blacked out....not going to let some POS stop me.

That is heart breaking and I hope the low lifes are caught and punished. Thanks for your service and hopefully you can get back on track soon. By chance would storage insurance cover the loss?

Re: Parts Stolen While Deployed

No storage insurance. It was in a personal garage.
