What size pipe can I use to make brake lines?
Hi guys,
My trucks brake lines are just straight down, rather than the spiral I have seen before, so I was thinking of redoing them while the truck is in bits. I was offered 1/4" X 0.028" by 15 meters of new copper pipe for £5.00 or $7.50 earlier on today. I was wondering if this could be used to replace my pipe work, or am I being over optimistic here?  Thanks.

Nope that is not going to make it. I use steel in 3/16" or 1/4" or the new copper nickel brake line. Either work well butt really liking the copper nickel as it is easy to work with and makes nice bends. Just make sure what ever you get it is designed to be brake line.

Also used the copper nickel line on the 62... it was super easy to work with.
The power brake booster/master cylinder kit I bought was plumbed 3/16" to the front brakes. The rear was 1/4". Pappyx4!
