I bought this truck-'67 C-20

I've been looking for a C-20 and/or a '67, and I found both at once:

It's got a 327/TH400. Great body, a little rust here and there but over all, in really good shape. I won't have it home 'till Thursday or so, so I'll put up more pictures then. Happy Day!

Way cool! that is one thing I would like for mine to be 3/4 ton! It's a shame the po could'nt take the time to remove the hood lettering before paint! Good looking truck though!

Re: I bought this truck-'67 C-20

I've been needing a C/20 too. Congratulations on getting a good one. You'll probably have the HD stuff with that Custom Camper. You got the big engine and automatic. The hood letters may be painted, but removing and dipping in paint stripper a little, then hosing off will reveal preserved chrome

Re: I bought this truck-'67 C-20

Nice looking truck to start with. Looks to me like the letters are not on now. Pulled off the paint underneath is darker as it has not been exposed to the UV rays.

Re: I bought this truck-'67 C-20

It actually looks to me like someone tried to rattle can primer over "patina", then removed the hood letters.

I'd try to get all that rattle can primer off, scuff the whole truck clean, and clear coat it.

It looks like you found a really nice/clean truck! Congrats!

Re: I bought this truck-'67 C-20

Darned lucky buy there. I would love to have one just like it...2 eye or 4 eye wouldn't matter much to me. I always regret selling a '67 GMC 3/4 I had years ago. Never realized what I had back then. Was a Texas rust free truck.
