8 lug wheel and hub caps

I want to swap out my 16.5" wheels for a 16" or 17" wheel- but I really want to keep my hubcaps. Is there another wheel that would work?

Also- does anybody reproduce these hubcaps or does anyone refurbish them? Mine have seen 44 years of abuse....

Thanks!!

stock 16" 8 lug (GM) will work for those caps. No reproduction caps made, but talk to Frank (pickmup) he refurbishes them and they are beautiful.

8 lug Ford wheels are also an option. Thats what I have on my C20. As long as they have the nubs for hubcaps then your factory ones should work.

Just curious, is that a coil spring, or leaf spring rear?

Re: 8 lug wheel and hub caps

As far as factory wheels goes, any Dodge, GM, Ford, IH wheel from the 60s-90s will work. They differ, so you'll want a full set. The later Ford wheels are 7" and if the say Accuride on them they are still SAE lug pattern. Watch out for the later 170mm pattern, won't work. The non-split rim GM wheels began use in the early-70s through '91. You can also buy brand new wheels from Wheel Vintiques.
I imagine any place that restores auto trim can do hubcaps. Look at Hemmings Motor News for trim restoration sources.

Re: 8 lug wheel and hub caps

Thanks everyone!

Blackland- it's the factory leaf spring rearend. I took the overload leaf out and had the springs rearched (cost me $200) to lower the back about 4.5"

Re: 8 lug wheel and hub caps

Thanks! I ordered 16x8 for the front and 16x10 for the rear. Should be here in a couple weeks. Then off to the tire shop to find the right tire... I'm thinking 275/60/16 for the rear. Not sure on the front yet.

Re: 8 lug wheel and hub caps

Mine is a 4X4 and LT285/75R16 rubbed in the front, so I went with LT265/75R16.
